Two weeks Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for Library Professionals on

Creation, Preservation, and Dissemination of E-Content

Duration of the program: 6 June to 19 June 2020

 

Objectives of the Program : –

1. To create awareness about the importance of e-content creation.

2. Acquiring Video Editing skills.

3. To learn Learning Management Systems(LMS) and MOOCs.

4. To Learn efficient Preservation of e-content

5. To Learn tools used for Dissemination of content.

6. To acquire efficiency in Data processing.

7. Tools to organize data and copyright Issues.

Topics to be covered:-

1. Role of librarian e-content Development.

2. E-content and Plagiarism.

3. Creation and Editing of Desktop/Mobile based Instructional Video

4. Creation of Institutional Repository using DSpace

5. Creation of website and web tools for the Library.

6. Tools useful for e-content creation.

7. Effective Information Retrieval Tools.

8. Google tools for Information Dissemination.

9. Open Access e-resources and E-content creation.

About the college:-

St. Vincent College of Commerce affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University is managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) catering to the needs of the students from the marginalized sections of the society. The College adheres to the Jesuit hallmark of an all-round, value-based, and disciplined approach to education since 1970.

The program empowers the Librarians with latest updated knowledge in the area of Creation, Preservation, and Dissemination of E-Content for effective sharing of knowledge to its seekers, it also enhances the skills of the Librarians in the process of dissemination of information in the most systematic and efficient manner

      coordinators for organising an extremely informative course at times when the need of the hour is to upgrade digitally.
      I really appreciate to Prof. Yogesh Mate Sir because it is very critical job to communicate and answering to all participants at a time. but you really judged and satisfied to all. while talking about FDP it is really informative and useful to me because we just discuss about online FDP for Library professional on subject Creation, Preservation and Dissemination of E-contents course show us how to use and implement in the library. as well as the tool like e content creation, acquiring and editing video, LMS and MOOCs, preservation of e content, IP, Google tools for inf. resources, creation of website and Web tools for library. Which is very useful to librarian.
      I am thankful to UGC HRDC, SPPU, Pune and St. Vincent College of commerce, Pune and the whole team who have taken efforts to make successful this FDP. It enlightens n enriches about current knowledge. Home assignment really enjoyed and doing all activities. I want to say that it takes us from unknown to known. from difficult to easy.
      Resource persons deserve great appreciation for displaying professionalism, deep insight into the subject and a well organised FDP.

    Very nice attempt by St.Vincent College, Pune Librarian. Such FDP’s in association with S.P.University is needed now in lockdown situations. Give grading while issuing certificates, so that it should be valuable in CAS and arrange it for short term like 6 days etc. One session on KOHA can be arranged in such a way.

    I am completed all assignments upto 14 days. I thankful to organizers of FDP programme is given me chance to learned many e-contents. It is not easy to understand me, but speakers are make it easy. Sessions are very informative and knowledgeable for my future needs. Day 13 Assignment is hard but i try continuously and completed it successfully. Overall FDP programme going very nice to me. Once again Thank You organizer Team and Specially to Mate Sir.

    I congratulate and Thanks Prof. Mate Sir for organizing this FDP. I had completed all assignments given in FDP in those 14 Days. It was wonderful FDP for library professions in this program many things we got to learn all session were very informative and knowledgeable for our feature needs.Overall the FDP was very Interesting and full of useful ideas, tool and Techniques which were presented very nicely.

    I would like to thanks Yogesh Mate Sir, Coordinator of FDP on Creation, Preservation and Dissemination of E-content for Library Professionals also I am very much thanks to St. Vincent College, Pune and HRDC Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune Organizer of FDP.
    It was informative and innovative FDP for me because I have learnt a lot. Well experienced and techno-librarians sessions were excellent. Clarity of Video and audio were nice. Presentations were excellent. Overall FDP was excellent.

    I hope once again you will organize such types of FDP or lecture series
